"Big Boston"
I was searching for a picture of WST, wanted to know the size of the grains and such. http://www.ilrc.ucf.edu/powders/sample_detail.php?powder_id=665 This site has it in spades, and a real resource, no Wiki or hearsay, just the facts. The Rainmaker, SASS #11631
Very interesting. Funny, all the powders we've used that were referred to as "flake" powders are called "disk" in this info. Cool to look at close-ups though.

The Coconino Pistolero, SASS # 72432
Thank you for passing that link along. I did not know Power Pistol was nitroglycerin based. That explains the low light flash.
Abilene, SASS # 27489
Cool! Now I can gather up all the little piles of spilled flakes on the bench, look at each one through a microscope to figure out which it is, and get it back into it's proper container! Sedalia Dave
Did you notice that several powders are listed multiple times? If you compare the spectrographs their composition can be similar or very diferent. Alliant Clay Dot is not listed at all. Several powders that are widely accepted as identical are definately not. All you have to do is compare their list of ingrediants and their spectrographic analysis. Even with the same ingrediants the spectrographs are slightly different.
