This happened during 2014, at Sialkot International Airport, Pakistan when a Boeing 737-400 did a High Power Engine Runup.

A Shaheen Air Boeing 737 was damaged in the incident.

Bricks came loose from the pavement and struck the horizontal stabilizer.

Oh, how I wish there was a video of this. Engines shredding the pavers, throwing them away… Luckily, no one was hurt.

Brick pavers set in sand will not hold the weight of 737 airplane.

Then the engine blast is more than enough to pick up brick and toss them about as seen in the photo.

 

 

 

Why would they park an airplane that size on pavers?
