Pat Riot
This morning I was driving into work and near LAX (LA airport) they have these huge obnoxious lighted LED billboards and I saw a lighted rendition of this poster emblazoned in the dawn’s early light. I thought, as I past beneath the sign... “Welcome the FOUR back?” ”Welcome the FOLD back?” I was trying to remember names that began with “F” in the show...and then it hit me! I laughed so hard my eyes were watering.

Charlie Harley, #14153
I tried watching Deadwood a few times, but their gratuitous use of the F-bomb kind of turned me off. And now they have have it on billboards.

Although I must admit that even I, mostly immune to rough profane men, was somewhat taken aback initially.
Whiskey Business
That poster would put the church ladies down here in a tizzy. They were apoplectic when several counties in Ga approved Sunday alcohol sales.
Pat Riot
Yes, the language is salty and to be honest, I cuss like a sailor sometimes and when I saw the show I was taken aback somewhat by the cussing. I highly doubt everyone in the old west pranced around with high morals and Victorian language practices. I have a feeling “Deadwood” is an exaggerated example of life in the late 1800’s. I do believe there was cussing, but maybe not to the extent they show in this series. I do not doubt though that guys like Sweringen cussed like Sweringen... then and now. Chili Ron
Howdy, When I was in the Army back in the 60s there was a lot of cussing as in 'Pass the ********* salt'. I was not used to such but got along with it. I thought the troops were cussing just because they could. No one had hit their thumb, people weren't really angry, they just cussed.
