The Hu Band

Pat Riot

Recommended Posts

Do y’all remember the thread with the Mongolian Heavy Metal band called “Hu”?

Well, The Hu band is on tour and coming to Sacramento and Seattle this Fall. They will tour Europe first in the summer. Supposedly an album is in the works. Maybe the album will be created from live concerts. Who...or “Hu” knows.

Anyway, here is their schedule.

I'd go too. Definitely beats what passes for Country these days. I'm OK with most older stuff.

Country and Western has been neither for a decade.

If I was the type to go to concerts I'd go.

You mean you don't want sober up, get your dog back, wife back, girlfriend back, truck back and money back when they pay one of the songs backwards?

I would!!

Better than the bubblegum pop with some steel guitar and the occasional banjo that passes itself off as country music these days.

You forgot the name dropping--- a reference to Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, or the like for credibility.

And you know they had to use Wikipedia to find out who they were.

Kinda like doing a cover and not knowing it was a cover or who made it famous.

I'll stick with ol' time fiddle and clawhammer banjo.

I like the Gibson Bothers now. Also miss Doc Watson.

My dad has long been a fan of Doc Watson, along with Charlie Monroe as far as guitarists go. Then you have Chet Atkins, Vince Gill and a slew of other amazing guitarists I could name that play country and blue grass.

I like all of those you listed jus keeping it simple. I am a “Yankee” by birth. So you might not expect me to be into Blue Grass. It is my favorite. Besides the Gibson Bros. are Yankees too. They hail from around Syracuse, NY.
