Will Alexa respond to anybody’s voice?

Burglars could stand outside and holler “Alexa, unlock the front door”. :o

Only if you have a lock with that capability and have it hooked up to Alexa.

Only those people stupid enough to connect their door locks to the internet will soon discover if this is an issue or not.

Google Home, which is the same as Alexa, you can set it so it will respond only to certain voices.  If you have more than one device in your home, you can also use it as an intercom, you just have to use the prefix, "announce." then say your message and it will come out in your own voice.  We have a 3 story house so it works great as an intercom.

yes

I like to make my wife text me "You were right, I was wrong, I will never doubt you again"

She has a hard time admitting it herself.  The last part maybe wishful thinking.

I've seen your wife shoot--better be careful

A couple of times I've been using the voice feature on my cell phone to enter a Google search and it has picked up either something my wife said or something from the television.

Kind of like Siri picking up a cussing tirade of mine. All of a sudden I hear this female voice coming from my pocket saying “I don’t know how to respond to that”.

I like to mess with Alexa and Siri.

Apparently I am not the only one.

From the electronic web of donothingness:

https://www.digitaltrends.com/home/best-alexa-easter-eggs/?amp

Siri used to be more fun to mess with . Now they seem to have toned her down a bit.

I remember asking Siri

”Why do motorcycles go Vroom Vroom?”

Her response, and very motherly, I might add:

”You had better be careful on that thing”

She (It) only did that once and I could never get her to repeat it.

Need a southern siri.

"You better watch your mouth young man. Were you raised in a barn?

Oh,  and bless your heart."
