Subdeacon Joe
Colorado Charlie Utter (at right) and Arapaho Joe add a headstone to Wild Bill Hickok’s Deadwood grave in 1877. Two years later, Hickok was reinterred at Mount Moriah Cemetery, where his grave mates became Calamity Jane, in 1903, and Potato Creek Johnny, in 1943. –Courtesy Deadwood Public Library –
Sixgun Sheridan
Supposedly when he was moved they discovered his body had calcified, and while perfectly preserved it weighed several hundred pounds.

Sixgun Sheridan
I find it interesting that at just 39yo he was considered past his prime and virtually an old man by his peers. In his younger years, had he wanted someone's seat at the poker table they wouldn't have dared say no. On the day he was killed however nobody would give him their seat. Shows how in today's world we're lucky that 69 is now the new 39.
