Ruger Wrangler Revolver - .22LR

Recommended Posts

Just saw where Ruger has a new (or at least new to me) affordable .22 LR single-action revolver.

MSRP is $249.

Ruger Wrangler with aluminum alloy frames with black, silver or burnt bronze cerakote finishes.

4.62" barrel length.

My bride would keep them for herself. She has a truck identical to Kaya's, same color too.

I love the color. And the truck. Plenty of power, all the options.

I wonder if they are the same design as the single six .22, except for the frame and cylinder material.

That's kind of what it looks like.  Nice affordable alternative to the Single Six!

The color matches Belle Drewry's eyes.

Wow Very Nice .

Ruger see's the need to make something affordable in the .22 market again .

This should be the New SASS Buckaroo go to .22 pistol IMHO .

A pair of these with a Henry rifle and a Little SXS 410 and a young shooter has got a nice setup .

Just sayin

Heritage Arms was probably eaten their cookies at this end of the market.

Need to chamber in 32S&W.

Cerakote flat finish will appeal to the tacticool folks. They'll have them in pink and tiffany blue camo.

Ruger could have went with Midnight blue. It can be slightly glossy more or a matt or satin finish but very close in color to hot salts blue.

I think this is a smart play by Ruger, and they will sell in bunches.  I have bearcats for the kids, but this will be a nice step up in size.  Definitely more utilitarian than my Single Sixes, but thats not necessarily a bad thing.  Can't wait to try one out and see what "distributor exclusives" they come out with.

Pass a hint along that they need to make a .32 Wrangler as well.

Many years ago I had an FFL to do gunsmithing.  Besides gunsmith work, I bought guns for folks. I got many from Grafs when they did mostly gun wholesale.   Many times when I was in their business,  they would try to push something off on me.  One time it was Ruger Bearcats. They had been discontinued and they wanted to get rid of their old inventory.   $38 each as I remember.   I didn't fall for that.

I did buy a Ruger Old Army Stainless adjustable sights 7.5 for about $125 when they were discontinued.  I later traded it for something.
