From the Denver Post:

A couple prepare a meal on their camper at Rocky Mountain Lake Park autocamp in Denver s Berkeley neighborhood in this photo dated between 1918and 1920. The grill and other kitchen items sit on a drawer that slides underthe car. Clothing and bags are hung on the inside of the camper and are exposed bycanvas flaps that are rolled up. The windows are covered with screen.

Howdy,

I went camping at Road America on race weekends years back.

A storm blew in and tents fell like crazy. Hail and rain and wind.

My $200 ford van, nicknamed RIVIT, looked so smart.

I opened the side doors and cooked steaks on the hibatchi.

That van could hardly make it up a hill but was perfect that weekend.

I bought it just to keep the camaro off the winter salted roads.

Old ford van 6 cylinder. So easy to fix.

So often it needed work.

Sold it for what I had in it.

If anyone is going camping take a screen tent to hold your spot.

Easy to pitch over a pickinick table.

Best

CR
