For you city folk...

Well, you can see a fair distance.  When we drove across country a few years back - took 80 and once we got into the central area it was flat like that It seemed very strange to not see mountains.  Almost disorienting.

I prefer a really crooked road, some elevation changes, and some tall trees.

It still beats hell out of a bunch of buildings and snarled traffic!!

It needs a mountain or two, maybe a colorful canyon, too.

We have  Palo Duro canyon about 15 miles south of us, the 2nd largest canyon in the US. As for mountains we have to go to New Mexico, the largest county in Texas.

Just kidding, don't all you NM hombres get yer chinches too tight.:D

Hey Tascosa,  nice pics; looks like "miles and miles of miles and miles"! Speaking of Mountains  in Texas, there are some really big ones down in the Big Bend Country.  Cheers, Hoss C.

For you city hombres, unlucky enough not to have this view, eat your heart out.

Just joshin' ya, no offense intended, but aint that one heck of a beautiful view!

Can almost see tomorrow...

Well, we have no grassy plains....but we do have expansive views...

The low, dark shadow on the horizon is Martha's Vineyard, 7 miles to the East.

And you can't get there by horse.
