It needs a mountain or two, maybe a colorful canyon, too.

Well, it's an improvement over a view of the other end, I'll say that.

Well, you can see a fair distance.  When we drove across country a few years back - took 80 and once we got into the central area it was flat like that It seemed very strange to not see mountains.  Almost disorienting.

I prefer a really crooked road, some elevation changes, and some tall trees.

It still beats hell out of a bunch of buildings and snarled traffic!!

We have  Palo Duro canyon about 15 miles south of us, the 2nd largest canyon in the US. As for mountains we have to go to New Mexico, the largest county in Texas.

Just kidding, don't all you NM hombres get yer chinches too tight.:D

Every thing looks good from the back of a horse. Love the scene.

Well, we have no grassy plains....but we do have expansive views...

The low, dark shadow on the horizon is Martha's Vineyard, 7 miles to the East.

And you can't get there by horse.

Well, you could try a seahorse.....

LL

I've heard tell sea horses are really hard to break to saddle. I don't reckon I'm  cowboy enough to try that.
