Two Ponies
This vintage rifle is in great condition for it's age. It was mfg. in 1924. The caliber is 25/20. The wood is beautiful Walnut and the stock has many places were the grain is streaked with dark lines. The forearm is also pretty Walnut and there is one tiny ding on the left side. The wood to metal fit and finish is perfect all the way from the butt plate to the tip of the end cap on the forearm. The receiver has pretty much faded out on both sides but there are no dings scrapes or scratches on any of the metal parts. The bore is perfect and shiny, and has every grove that it started with. The rear sight is a 2.75" Modified Buckhorn with a 1.75" ladder under the sight for your choice of elevation. The front sight is a high blade Winchester with a screw on the right side to prevent movement. These are very likely original to the gun throughout it's life. The gun has all the PW Circle stamps on the barrel and the receiver. The barrel is very nice as is the magazine tube. The front barrel band is missing most of it's bluing, but it looks perfect with NO MARKS at all. All in all this gun is a gem. The price is: $1350.00 plus $38.00 S&H by FED-EX To you FFL Dealer.
