They hear things that are easy to remember and they see it gets a positive reaction so they remember it and repeat it often. They get crackers (votes, money, attention) when they repeat the easy to remember things. Too bad they also have the lifespan of a parrot... Looks like some body photo shopped the barrel of an SVT-40 sans barrel shroud onto an AK-47 receiver.. Below is SVT-38 with and an SVT-40 without the barrel shroud. When the Soviet Union stopped exporting them several countries reversed engineered the Dragunov, made some modifications, and preceeded to produce their own version.
