Rance - SASS # 54090
I, also have the Bond Texas Defender with a 38/357 barrel.. They will hold up in side matches.. I also have 2 Cobras.. 38 special.. They will not hold up for side matches.. Yep.. Lifetime guarantee on them but you get to pay the shipping and FFL fees.. Rance Thinkin the Cobras aren't worth the lower investment
Michigan Slim
Paid 385.00=tax for my Bond, used. Came with .38/357 and .45Colt/.410 barrels. I carry it frequently. Love it. I recommend .38 and below for side matches.
X Mark
I'll second the notion about Cobra derringers. Mine was "bad out of the box". It wouldn't fire the lower barrel !! Had to send it back and got the explanation that they had put a .380 firing pin in it instead of the .38 spl. firing pin !! Not sure what the difference was in these two firing pins but it was enough B.S> that I lost faith in the gun and sold it. Then I bought a Bond and Waterloo ( the Bond guy )helped me to tune it with the lighter springs ! Buy a Bond and have fun !!
Hillbilly Drifter
I also recently bought the Bond Texas Defender in 357/38. I also purchased a 44-40 bbl for it but plan to use the 38 in side matches. It shoots dang good too
