Need a swiss army knife?Done Sold Gone

Chili Ron

Recommended Posts

Howdy,

I bid on a swiss army knife with yellow grips.

I thought it had stayglow grips but that is not the case.

I asked the seller to cancel my bid but so far no go.

SOOOOOO if any pard is considering a nice swiss army knife please

take a look at the climber model with yellow grips.

I own a climber model, they are nice and include the corkscrew.

If you win the auction, let me know and I can ship you a brand new mini

screwdriver that threads into the corkscrew for storage.

If I still win the auction it will soon be on our classyfieds.

I love Swiss Army knives. But not being a wine drinker the corkscrew always turned me off. I have found other uses for the corkscrew, like; pulling cotton from a pill bottle, loosening knots, unseating stuck, corroded batteries, poking holes in things, meeting pretty girls on camping trips (they forgot their corkscrew), tipping packing tape, poking a hole in a water bottle to make an impromptu squirt gun. I found there are definite uses for them besides pulling corks. :)

Here is a link with some interesting Swiss Army Knife trivia but the thing that really stands out is this guy’s unique idea for starting fires with a Swiss Army Knife. Check it out:

Chili Ron, if you “win” that bid and decide to sell that knife shoot me a PM. :) If the price is reasonable I will buy it from you.

Howdy,

The bid is 21.75 my max is 22.00.

if someone wants to bid 22.25 for a knife that would probably cost twice that

they have shipping included.

My break even with shipping would probably be 25.50 or so.

One other interested bidder might bid at the last minute??

If someone doesn't like yellow I could switch traditional red or black grips too.

We will see...

Howdy,

the auction is closed and I "WON" .

The seller is saying that I can cancel my bid now

but I think he is confused or just being weird.....

With the auction over it is harder for others to see the item.

The yellow scales are very unusual and you could see it better

if dropped in woods etc.

If someone wants it I will add a NEW mini screwdriver.

And sell for 25 shipped to conus.

Im out a little and the buyer gets a nice swiss army knife for about half the new price.

I probably wont get it for a week or so.

I will update pards on the condition at that time.

I will sub black or red scales.

Green scales at a 15 dollar addition....yes I can.

All prices subject to slight adjustment up or down if needed.

Of course paid SASS pards get priority. OF course.

All just in time for the camping season.

Howdy,

Pat the number is 173848148533.

Its closed so you have to logon as an ebay member, I think.

swiss climber in great condition, five nice color pix.

I would keep it if I didn't have one except for the stayglow.

Spring has hit and camping will soon be one everyones mind.

And these little knives mostly go for 40 and up, some way up.

Take a try and see it.

I will include a NEW mini screwdriver or drop the price a couple bucks,

What ever the buyer wants.

25 and we can adjust from there.

Still open to other buyers until someone says those famous words......

Ill take it.

Yellow grips unless black or red is preferred.

Howdy,

All good, are the yellow grips OK?

You don't have to decide now....

I would rather leave them as that's factory.

Howdy,

Pat Riot has it with yellow grips for 25 and my thanks.

The seller on ebay is being a bother.

I hope he doesn't mess me up further.

Its a fine little knife and not over bulky as some sak tend to be.

ps if anyone else wants a climber sak just bid on ebay.

The hard part is the yellow grips. Pat comes up with a rare one.

Howdy,

A climber with red grips will be available soon.

Around 25 or so.

I can get yellow grips but they have to be ordered and

I can switch em…..

It would still be less that a store bought climber.

A VERY useful tool.  I've used them for everything from trimming my fingernails (scissors), cutting small pieces of wood (crosscut saw), to tightening the screws holding the cover plates on 110v outlets in missile sites!  I just have to remember, when going to an airport, to put mine in the checked luggage (forgot once and lost one!) :(

Howdy,

Trailrider, the confiscated knives are mostly excellent condtion.

I bought one with what looked like corrosion, turned out to be lint.

Cleaned up in two minutes.

How do you buy confiscated knives?

A TSA agent told me that they destroyed them.

Thanks, Utah Bob.

I did find a news article earlier that explained how the TSA turns many items over to the state where they confiscate the knives and other items and then the state sells them or auctions them off.

I have lost a few knives and a couple of multi-tools to the TSA. Knowing about these auctions probably wouldn’t have done me any good to try and buy back my very first Leatherman that was confiscated in Sacramento.

This is where California items go:

Howdy,

Sure seems like TSA could have some small bubble envelopes ready

to mail pocket size items where ever.

A dollar for the  envelope and five for postage and your item goes

back home or on to your destination.

I hear the post office needs funds.

How easy would this be??
