Utah Bob #35998
Took a stroll down to our normally dry creekbed this afternoon. More water in it than I've seen in 13 years, Saw some elk tracks (old) and bear tracks (new). Looks like the creek was way over it's banks at one point in the past few days. Maybe 15 feet wide at some spots. when it goes down I'll be looking for arrowheads and such that might have washed down from the ridge above. The video might ot play. I'm uploading it to youtube but that takes a while. I'll put a link here when it's done. I did get it on Facebook but I’m having a devil of. A time getting it on youtube. GOT IT! https://www.facebook.com/UtahBobColorado/posts/2340389645971128?notif_id=1553900245106676¬if_t=feedback_reaction_generic
Hillbilly Drifter
That is pretty neat! I would think the likelihood of artifacts being washed down is pretty good.

There are hundreds of pottery shards there, maybe thousands. A few year ago I found a cool grinding stone in the creek bed.

Buffalo Bill Mathewson, 37826
I had enough rain on my yard last week a 4 wheeler key I lost 30 plus years ago surfaced. Good luck hunting arrowheads.

Alpo
Flash flood!!! Did you have to put out sandbags to keep the house from being washed away?

If it got anywhere near the house it would be about 150 yards wide and 30 feet deep by then. And I’d be long gone way before that. When the stream opens out and dumps into the old ag field to the west it covers about 4 acres. Our annual rainfall here is only 15”. That’s a one day rain for Florida. I expect the runoff will only last till the end of the week.
Tascosa, SASS# 24838
Greatshots. Probably good for artifacts after the water goes down, But I have a question. Whats that white stuff? Cotton bales exploded?
