Rye Miles #13621
Smoothest action out of the box I've ever had! (Except for the Cobra which is also awesome)

Pat Riot
Very nice, Rye. I knew you’d get one. After you posted about it a while back I knew that soon we’d be hearing that you got it. Good for you. I hope you love it. Side note: I have yet to see one in real life. Cobra or King Cobra. I did get to see an S&W Model 19 Carry Comp the other day. I want one. I saw a S&W Model 19 Comp also a few weeks ago, it was like $1200.00 I think!! Does that sound right??
Sixgun Seamus
I have an "original" King Cobra 6in barrel that I paid $200 used. Mine has a rear leaf spring from a one ton Dodge for a spring.

Dantankerous
I saw one at a gun show 2 weeks ago. $850.00 Seems to be an average price for DA revolvers anymore.
Crooked River Pete, SASS 43485
I have an original 8". Always thought the single action on it was almost as good as my Python.
Charlie MacNeil, SASS #48580
I had a blued 4" King Cobra for several years, then I decided to get into CAS and traded it for a rifle that I no longer have either... Very sweet revolver! Congrats on finding one!
Kid Russell
I like the trigger on my King Cobra better than my Python or any other double action that I have owned or shot. My Python, is in second place with my Officers Match Target in third place and my S&W Combat Masterpiece is a close fourth.

Widder, SASS #59054
Hey RYE, True Story: a few years ago (bout 10) me and a friend decided to buy a couple 6" Ruger GP100's and mount red dot sight on em. After all the mods, we took em out to test out 'Godzilla' loads. We covered the hood of his vehicle with a blanket and put a pistol rest on top. We also put a towel over the rest to help keep scratching our new toys. Anyhow, I shot about 4 rounds when I noticed the towel was on fire that was covering the pistol rest. The flame from the cylinder/barrel gap had set it on fire. That is why I know that good hot .357 loads will 'spit fire'..... ..........Widder

Rye Miles #13621
Just got back from the range a little while ago, this King Cobra is the smoothest "out of the box" gun I've ever shot! I thought the Cobra was nice this is even nicer. Double action is smooth as silk. Accuracy is better than I am! Great gun by Colt!!!

Sixgun Sheridan
Colt is actually working on resurrecting the Python in some form, BTW. The hope is that they'll keep the external appearance of the old ones but make them more modern internally like these Cobras.
