Looking for a Knife

Waimea

Recommended Posts

I guess anybody that knows me knows that I am always on the prowl for a knife.

This time I am looking for a sheath more than a knife but it could be both.

What is the object of my current desire?

Horizontal sheath. Left handed.

Has anybody seen these elusive beauties?

Where, when, how much?

Might want to do an Internet search ....

Yes, sir.

Tried that but most sheath makers don't mention the maximum size belt you can wear it with.

That's purdy important for cowboys that wear a 2" belt.

I'm sure any  of our fine SASS leather Craftsmen could make you one. My favorites are:

JM-Leather

Michigan Rattler Leather

and MadDog Custom leather.

I'm sure the folks that made your double belt rig could fix you up as well ;)

Have you seen Tombstone's sheath?

Don't see it on Nick's site.

X2 on Call'n Nick-He does custom work.

You most likely will have to send him the knife...

He's talking about TN Tombstone, not Tombstone leather; though I'm sure Nick could do a fine job.

If you want a top quality sheath, get the knife you want and then send it to Sullivan in Florida. They make all of the sheaths for Randall. I had them make me one for my oldest knife, a 60's Herter's Original Bowie. Cost $40+ and is perfect.  Still miss the Herter's annual catalog.

If interested, can post a photo of the critter.

Has great sheath made for 25 degree horizontal carry. Just coped outline and did it from Branson MO Will send name and picture when I get home. Knive with Turquoise inlaid handle from Scottsdale AZ. Small jewelry shop in old town next to the Cowboy Rusty Spur saloon. Other shops have it but at three times rate. You  may have seen it at the Shoots in Ga.
