Sloan Dodgy
Winchester 1895 built in 1905 chambered in .38-72 WCF with a 26 inch octagonal barrel. Action body gone from blue to mottled grey with some blotching, screws decent. Barrel exterior blue is pretty good, markings are all very clean. The good news is that inside it is exceptionally clean with a pristine bore and chamber and it shoots and feeds very well! Excellent trigger. Groove diameter is the usual .378-.379". With soft .378" 275 grain lead bullets it shoots quite nicely with either black or smokeless at factory load speeds of 1400-1500 fps. With .375" Hawk jacketed bullets of either 235 or 300 grains and smokeless it also shoots exceptionally well, go figure. I've taken two yearling bison with stout loads and the 300 grain Hawk with one shot each. $1600 shipped to your FFL or C&R.

Sloan Dodgy
Hello BoomStick, Not really, though I might be tempted by an Uberti 1876 Winchester Carbine clone in .45-60 if you happen to have one of those hanging around. I'm not able to shoot CAS matches any more and it's time to clear out the safe.
