Black Angus McPherson
So, to me, the question becomes: "Why isn't the Tesla valve used?" Also, what is a Reed valve? Angus Not-an-engineer McPherson

Also imagine trying to clear a clog out of one.

Wallaby Jack, SASS #44062
It would almost appear that one of Mr. Teslas' better moves was to leave Edison and go work for Mr. Westinghouse
Pat Riot
Edison was a brilliant man also but he was also a sonofab****! Any man that would sanction the killing of animals to sell his ideas in electrical power should have been hooked up to some cabling himself. He was also a very astute and often unscrupulous businessman. J.D. Daily
The problems with Tesla's one way valve are: While it's Cv factor in reverse direction is 200 times the forward Cv factor it is less than infinite. I.E. it will leak in reverse direction. It requires a lot of length compared to swing poppet & spring poppet check valves.
