SOLD. Antique mule ear shotgun. 12 ga. (Reduced again)

Recommended Posts

This is an old mule ear double in 12 gauge. It’s been trimmed to 20” barrels.

The barrels are solid, not damascus.

I’ve shot smokeless factory ammo and Black Powder through it.

It has its share of wear and tear, but a heckuva lotta fun to let bellow with squared loads of Black Powder, and serious style points with its vintage patina.

Asking $400 plus shipping to your FFL, assuming your dealer will receive from an individual.  I’m in Knoxville and will meet face to face with a Tennessee resident.

Molly,

I've had several cowboy shooters tell me this was most likely made by the Crescent Gun Company.  Apparently they were a large manufacturer who produced a lot of firearms that were then house branded for hardware stores and other retail stores.

The gun is mechanically sound. There was a small crack in the wrist when I bought it.  This was cured with an injection of CA glue and careful clamping. It is now invisible and has not reopened in fifteen years.

I don’t shoot SASS that much any more so I’m thinning the guns to raise coin for a nicer wood lathe. Furniture making and cabinetry are my main hobbies, and I still have a 97 for when I get the urge to ring steel with friends.

Please let me know if you have other questions.
