Yul Lose
The thread that Razorback Red started about BP subs being disallowed in a sidematch got me wondering about the latitude the match director has in applying or abiding by so called SASS rules. Every club that I shoot at emphasizes that SASS rules apply. If a club decides that SASS rules will only apply to the main match and not the side matches shouldn’t they be required to say so somewhere? Where or when does the SASS pedigree end at a match and local club or match decisions trump SASS rules?
Jefro, SASS#69420
Howdy Yul, yes any deviation from SASS rules should be posted, such as plant and poke with shotgun, and in big bold printGood Luck
Flying W Ramrod
It's a side match, there, generally, aren't any SASS rules for side matches. That being said, how can the MD know if it's a sub or not? Do they make you load your cartridges at the match? Do they provide propellant for C&B revolvers? evil dogooder
Your match your rules. It would be better to announce if you have any that are local and not sass ahead of time. Due to the size of sass it can't possibly make one size fits all rules Example Some sass legal guns are banned in areas. Most indoor matches prohibit bp. They are still sass sanctioned but you are limited
Phantom, SASS #54973
And now for the endless debating on hysterical, I mean hypothetical variations of the original post.
