WInchester 1897 Stock set, 1953. Excellent condition!

Recommended Posts

This gorgeous Winchester 1897 stock set is from my personal main match gun. The gun was 98% when I bought it and could not bear to beat it up so i replaced it with another set for match use. I have some to the conclusion that I have too stuff laying around so this has to go. The set is in absolute excellent condition with just a couple of very small handing makes. Nice grain. I can only guess that it is completely original due to the condition of the gun when I bought it. $225 shipped priority mail to you. I take checks and also PayPal via friends and family.  If it does not go here it will be going on eBay where it will fetch more money. Thought I'd give a SASS member first shot at it. First "I'll take it" posted here gets it. I only go to the post office once a week. so it may take 7-10 days to receive your package, and I do not have time for daily updates on tracking and what not. if that is an issue then this may not be the set for you. Thanks for looking.

Wow!  This is a great deal on the real thing.  I had to replace the stock and forend on the wife's 97 a few years back.  The after-market stuff I found wasn't much cheaper and It didn't fit well or look nearly as nice.

Somebody needs to jump on this.

If it will fit older '97 (do you know), I will take it...

Liberty Jack, all the originals that I own currently are 1950's guns. I have owned several older guns 1910's-1940's that have had the stocks replaced with 1950's wood. So I"m going to say yes. It's a beautiful set. I don't think you will be disappointed in it.
