If'n  you don't shoot good, at least look good.

Better to look good, than to shoot good.

Anybody can shoot good, but not anybody can look good.

And , yes , I know that the outfit ain't quite up to CC standards.

Just saving folks some time in case they wanted to point that out!

I'm noticing that a vast majority wear cuffs.

It's a useful piece of wardrobe.  I wear cuffs sometimes and I'm not even trying to be in one of the costume categories.  If I'm not wearing cuffs, I'll wear arm garters.  They keep my sleeve from falling down over my hand and winding up between my palm and my pistol.

. Started this thread to get some ideas; going to CC  full time starting now.

Once the CC bug bites you it may be hard to go back shooting as a ordinarily cowpoke .:D

where did ya get that hat, Charlie? nice getup

Howdy! Great hats like that one are made, not born, so to speak. I’ve had that hat longer than I’ve had my wife and kids. It started out as my “Sunday go to meetin’” hat, then when I bought a new hat it became my everyday wear hat. I’ve long since lost track of how many cows that hat has slapped in the face and how many rain storms it’s been through, but it’s a bunch on both counts. As you can tell by the sweat ring under the hat band, which is the original one that came on the hat, it’s been around a while. I think I bought it some time in the early 80’s if I recall correctly.

Yeah, I had it overhauled summer before last and a straight trigger put in. It really cruises!

Like Charlie said the hat was made over the years,   Charlie is a REAL cowboy he even drives his pickup with spurs on.  Bullett 19707

Sorry I’m hijacking the picture thread, folks. I’ll try not to let it happen too often...

First time I ever drove with spurs on was before most people around here had horse trailers and we hauled our saddle horses in and out of the mountains in a Chevy 5 ton truck with stock racks on it. That was many moons ago...

Great to see a fellow Classic Cowboy with a cross draw!  Almost everyone I shoot with does double Duelist

I shot crossdraw for years then went to double strong side thinking it would be faster. Turned out my left hand is just too retarded to shoot double strong side, so I went back to my cross draw last summer... :D

I'm thinking I may try that some real soon. I shot FCGF for a couple of years and the only misses I got were with the left hand and I'm considerably slower left handed than right.
