Texas Shane
I'll check when I get home, yep she's an ASM. Actually the finest, best looking and smoothest of all my SAA's.
Red Eye Jim
I shoot Rugers so my opinion may not matter for much. My main match guns are a pair at 4.75 NMVs that are supposed to be identical, and shoot that way for the most part. (One has an odd hitch with the grip that I only really notice when I'm loading.) These are my preferred pistols if I'm actually going to try and at least appear to be competitive... My "Outlaw" pair is a 7.5" OMV in 45 Colt on my strong side and 3.5" "birdshead" in 45 ACP that I carry in a shoulder/belly rig. Now if I could just hit when shooting outlaw... My "Josey" pair are 7.5" ROA, but they've got the wrong sights on them to shoot Frontiersman, but I still carry 'em both Calvary because it looks cool. I hope to eventually flush out my Josey set with a 5.5" ROA, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do for that pocket pistol yet..

Mine is SA14159, bought her new in 93 or 94 (can’t remember) and still have the box.

Red Eye Jim
Really? You felt the need to point it out twice?

Yep Two different posted errors get two different posted point it outs. It's a pet peeve of mine. Just like there is no s in Revelation. I'm strange that way, I freely admit it. Diablo Blanco
I always liked the look of 5.5 best, has that workhorse look to it. 7.5 looks nice and sleek and points so naturally.
Griff
A pair of EMF Hartford Models. Top is a Uberti, bottom is an ASM, # SA77X. Custom build by Oglesby & Oglesby and awarded to my son as Top Gun, 1993 OWSA National Shootout. Beatin' out his Dad by a coupla hundreds of a second in the shootoff. Apparently age & deceit do not always beat youth & enthusiasm! I can't say skill, as I'm more accurate, he's just quicker!
Red Eye Jim
I wasn't aware this was my 9th grade English class... My spelling was bad then and it never improved. I was once forced to be a spelling bee in the 5th grade. I was asked to spell "dog". I spelled it C-A-T and sat down. I love me my spell check software. H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619
Darn it, I wasn't gonna do this, but Driftwood has gone and inspired me to do so. First, my 4-3/4" Colts and clones From left to right, Colt .45 Uberti .44 Special Uberti .44-40 The Colt is my Primary Gun when I am trying to do the best I can Next, 5-1/2" From Left to Right ASM .45 Colt .32-20 Colt .44-40 (Antique) Colt .44-40 The ASM is my Secondary Gun when I trying to do my best Next 7-1/2" Left to right Top Row Colt .32-20 Antique Uberti .44 Magnum Colt .45 (NRA Centennial) Bottom Row ASM .45 made to Military Specifications. Colt .45 Next: Other Lengths. The Buntline is 12" and .44 Special The Sheriffs are dual cylinder .44 Special and .44-40. Sometimes the two nickel guns get paired. All are Colts. Sheriff Bunline to the rescue! And finally some other others... Colt .22 Slightly less than 4-3/4 Colt .22, longer than 5.5, shorter than 7.5. (Too lazy to find a tape measure.) I included the pepperbox (.38 LC) as a joke. Ironically, my favorite length is 4-3/4" and I own fewer of that than anything else, and only 1 is a Colt.
