You guys and your acronyms crack me up.

Not an acronym it's actually the model of the gun! Springfield EMP 9mm, it's a 1911 action!

I have one and absolutely love it. Shoots fantastic and handles well. I like it so much that I spent 375.00 for a set of genuine ivory grips for it.

Has it proven to be reliable over time? The reason I’m interested is I’m considering going to one for concealed carry. Have  always carried revolvers. Like the 1911 trigger, but shoot 9mm better than 45.

Not only does Springfield refer to their small 1911 style 9mm pistol a EMP,

But, Springfield also calls some of their 1911 pistols the 'TRP'.

I have had mine about 7 years and have shot it a fair amount. I have complete confidence in it.

Howdy,

I am turned off by the overuse of alphabet soup.

As to the pistol in question, it has Springfield Armory behind it.

Ive never regretted any money spent on their products.

Just shop around for a decent deal.

Ive never tried that model but it sure look good to me.

Best
