Smoky Pistols
21 hours ago, Yul Lose said: But does it count if you buy it fer yerself? Most definitely! My late wife was ill for about sixteen years and the pain normally relegated her to the house instead of shopping for the holidays. Around October, every year, we had a conversation similar to this: Me: Hey Babe, how would you like to not have to shop for me for Christmas this year? Diane: Why, what do you want? M: I was thinking I might want to get into reloading (or whatever I was into at the time). John has been talking to me about it and it sounds like fun! D: How much is this going to cost? M: Oh, about X dollars. D: We can't spend that much! The conversation would continue until we settled on a price and she would say, "Go ahead and buy it, but you can't have it until Christmas" She'd release the money, both of us knowing full well that I'd spend about 35% more and blame it on shipping charges. When the packages would arrive, she would immediately wrap them in Christmas paper and set them out for me to see. I've come to believe that she got just as much joy watching me anxiously awaiting the chance to play with them as she would have buying them to surprise me with. Cibola Al
Not a gun but my wife noticed that the Bible my family gave me when I joined the USCG in 1982 was getting a little worn, so she took it apon herself to have a cover crafted by the same artist who made the rig for my custom Ruger 32 H&R mag. The leather will darken some with time and eventually match the holster perfectly.

Three Foot Johnson
Checking my database, it looks like I'm at 21. I sold my pair of Walkers to somebody on here 5 1/2 years ago - just too dang big and clumsy to shoot and carry. I used a weight lifter's belt to make the gunbelt. Before the leather was dyed and finished -
Boomstick Bruce
All I can say is it's about time the Baikal showed up. Won the auction on the 9th, mailed the postal m.o. on the 10th, the seller claims he didn't get it until the 19th (it took 9 days to go less than 200 miles? Sure....) Printed the shipping label on the 28th, Fed ex picked it up on the 31st, it finally arrived today... This was supposed to be for my birthday back on the 18th... All three were gifts! The model 12 from my mom and stepfather, the Baikal and Rossi from me...lol... I always buy myself the best gifts!!!
