Just wondering how much junk needs to get pinned to the top of the page before it gets deleted ?

It already takes up about half  a page !

Just sayin .

Kinda like people that post a sentence, but their list of awards takes up half a page? Or they copy a 5 paragraph post and reply with three words?;)

Put that rope down! It was a joke.

I have worked at three top-secret facilities and many of the workers were quite proud of all the various badges displayed around their neck.  Kind of like those in college who wore society pins and Greek buttons. We are all participants and therein is the fun of SASS. While I strive for better times and increased accuracy, the Spirit of the Game is the Game itself. I am pleased to be in Posses where those who invite others of all levels to be part of the Game.

I know a shooter who hangs every award he has won at a certain match from his awning when attending that match. It is quite impressive in a sad way.

I know of a certain shooter who only shoots with other fast/top shooters, when he has control over the posse. He once told me he didn't like people like me (slow) counting for him as we can't keep up with his speed and call misses when he didn't miss. He will also argue over misses.  Sad.

So you are saying my plan to construct an RV made entirely of my plaques would be in poor taste?

It’s funny, most of the time when someone is trashing on a shooter for something they do, it always starts with, “I know a fast shooter that ______.... “ (fill in  the blank with something terrible). But on the flip side, you almost never see folks say, “I know this slow shooter that _____....”

Sad.

Why include their speed when talking bad about them when it really has nothing to do with the attack? Unless it does...

Well Smokestack,

I have examples about wannabe shooters too. They, like to play the game using the rule book (sometimes imaginary rules) to penalize shooters. The worst was a shooter who was always calling stuff on shooters, even if they weren't in his category. We haven't seen him since the day he swept people with a loaded gun and was given a MDQ.

I know a former shooter (banned from many clubs years ago) whose first ban came after he told a slow shooter that she was so slow that his grandmother could whip her. Eight shooters on his posse complained to the MD. The MD banned him.

Notice, I didn't mention  speed as it had nothing to do with my complaint. These situations had nothing to do with the post I was responding to either.

You find good and bad in this sport, just like the real world. Happily, I can say that, in my experience, the nice people outnumber the others.

Allie

My point is not about winning or losing, celebrating winners is a good thing, just as much as encouraging those who are just learning the Game. I am not concerned about competition or those who become the Top Shots. But to me SASS is about being inclusive of those who are beginners or just slower than others. I thoroughly enjoy watching the best shooters compete in my local Matches. It is especially nice when they take the time to encourage and give tips to others.

I'm a slow shooter .

I will never be fast and I dont care to be .

I come to shoot my Cowboy guns with like minded people who enjoy the same .

I have seen and shot with many fast and top shooter hear in Michigan.

We have some of the best in the world right hear at home in Michigan.

All of them will give you help if the see you need help.

I wish I could be more active in the sport .

But between being self employed running a 24/7 Service Company.

And Health issues from my Motorcycle crash .

I spend more time hear then I do on the range anymore.

My mind says I can still do everything I used to do .

But my body tells me I cant.

So I do what I can when I can.

You must be going to some pretty good shoots to be receiving real wood plaques to build your RV out of.

Most the plaques I get are either fiberboard or particle board.

Wouldn't work too good as a building material that would be exposed to the elements.
