Classic Cowboy costume requirements.(specific)

Recommended Posts

I am working on tailoring my costumes to meet CC requirements.

While I have a "Gentlemens" costume that is complete, I want to finish my "Cowpoke" outfit to shoot CC as well.

My question is in reference to chaps/leggin's ;

I have checked the shooters manual, but there are no specifics regarding the topic.

Are zippered legs considered legit, or need they be buckle, strap, or tie fastened to be considered legal attire?

Thanks, Chertrock.

I honestly think they would be just fine.

Your talking zippered in the back correct?

Yes, some have zippers that run full-length on the legs, rather than buckles or ties.

I felt as though they may not be period correct but wasn't certain.I suppose if they were available, a common hand likely wouldn't have them....

The historic value, nostalgia, period correctness  of the sport, and more specifically, the category, is what first drew me into C.A.S. so I will go for something without zippers.

Thanks for the input.

 I favor batwing chaps. Three clips per leg. Easy to get on & off and they're cooler to wear in the summer. I got mine from Doc's Old West.
