Painted Mohawk SASS 77785
Seeing as I'm on a roll with my newly discovered ability to post photo's I thought I'd start one of your favorite bird. This is Moonee a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, approx 10yo..she is a beautiful girl who loves to have a chat..can't fly as she was caught in a flood when young with her brother in a cage & nearly drowned..the vet gave them anti.biotics which killed her brother..Moonee survived but left her not able to fly. We took her in when about 2 yo...she is gorgeous.
Pat Riot
I have always loved exotic birds. My wife, not so much. She loves cats, which is why I don't have birds.
Utah Bob #35998
Friend of mine’s dad spent a few years working in the Amazon and brought back a parrot. They would turn the shower on he loved to take a nice rainforest bath for a half hour or so. One day while he was sitting calmly on his perch in the libing room he showed off the new sound he’d learned to imitate. It was a perfect replication of a toilet flushing. She loves cats, which is why I don't have birds. You just need to get the right bird. Buddy of mine in Spain had a green parrot. His girl friend had a cat. Shortly after they got married several of us were over at their house visiting. We had had more than a few beers and decided to walk down to the corner cafe for some food. When we got back we found fur and feathers all over the floor. Quick check of the apartment revealed that the cat was in the bird cage with the door closed and the parrot was sitting on top of the cage. Turned out that we forgot to lock the bird in its cage and the cat decided that its dream of finally eating the bird was going to come true. Unfortunately for the cat green parrots are not defenseless. I swear that the cat seemed to be really happy to be in the locked cage.
Four-Eyed Buck,SASS #14795
Had a Timneh gray named Barry once. We also had cats, they gave him a WIDE berth. I was on the end of that seed crusher a couple times. Nasty!

Forty Rod SASS 3935
I worked for man who had a grey parrot that could mimic most of his short wave radio sounds. That bird had a vocabulary about like your average six year old kid.
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
I recall the story of a parrot that w3nt missing for four years in LA. When it returned home, it had learned to speak Spanish.
Linn Keller, SASS 27332, BOLD 103
Back when dirt was young and so was I, back when I was still a working medic, the fire department got a call, an elderly woman calling for help. The cavalry arrived, the Sheriff's deputy was circling the trailer, looking in windows, we were ready to make forcible entry when the little old gal who owned the place came home. She unlocked the door and her parrot greeted us. Loudly. Screaming for help. The woman apologized to us. It seems it had been her sister's, and her sister was now incarcerated in the State Mental Hospital, and one reason that secured her incarceration was her frequent (and false) cries for help ... Turkey Flats Jack
I had an African grey parrot and a rose breasted cockatoo. Then the wife developed an allergy to bird dander. So now no birds in the house. Now I keep pigeons. and I also get to handle with a Tawny Frogmouth at a private zoo that I work at part time.
