Howdy Folks,

I am still here. Good Lord willing I'll be back with y'all in a few months.

As Blackwater told you I had a MRSA infection which came in on the left side and worked it's way to the right knee.  It of course passed through the heart area and latched onto a valve. So 5 or 6 weeks at home with IV antibiotics will hopefully kill it. They also removed my old pacemaker to get the wires out so the infection wouldn't get in. They then put a Bullet Wireless Pacemaker up a vein into the heart where it will be safe from the endocarditis.

So, for those of you that know me, I'm a little down but not out. A soon as the get this 40 extra pounds of fluid off I'll be heading home and get some rehab started and get back on the trail.

Your prayers are greatly appreciated.

Howdy Judgem,

Good to hear from you. It's good there is a game plan and progress is being made. Is that bullet pacemaker a 38 or 45 caliber?

Vaya con Dios Amigo !

Keystone,

With a heart as big as the Judges', it would have to be a 45-70!

As you pray for the Judge, also remember Nurse Yazoo.

I've been a little remiss in reporting on the Judge's progress.  He is home.  I spoke to him right after lunch this afternoon. He was just returning from his first physical therapy visit and he was upbeat, if a little weary.

He says to thank EVERYONE for their prayers and support!!  Ya' can't know how much this means until you are on the receiving end!!

Shame on you, you're just gonna have to do better! Twenty lashes with a wet squirrel... :P

Seriously though, thanks for the update and we'll keep the prayers coming.

P.S. how's the foot? You gonna be ready for KY State?

OKAY!!  Just so everyone will know, I sustained some new damage to the troublesome left foot.  It is under control and we are treating it aggressively.  In trying to find footwear that will let me walk comfortably and move laterally with reasonable stability, I got a blister on the side of the foot, inches behind the previous trouble spot.  It immediately ulcerated and became a problem.  I'm having a new round of stem cell grafts, beginning on Wednesday after a massive battle with my insurance company.  They still refuse to cover the surgery, but my specialist has convinced the product supplier to donate a few treatments as a demonstration.  I AM FINE!!!  We have found the needed footwear and I'll be able to get around safely and comfortably when this latest episode is behind us. I'm in no danger, health wise, so long as I can continue to avoid any serious infection.  The foot is still attached and working as well as it has in recent years.

YES!!  I plan to shoot Kentucky State along with Judge 'em all Duncan and maybe Hatfield!!  That is a goal that we are setting for ourselves.  We've supported each other through some rough episodes the last few years and shooting the next match has been one tool we use to keep going.

Let this be all that needs to be said about me.  We're rootin' for the Judge here, so lets get this back on track!!  But thanks for asking.

Thanks for the update blackwater. My prayers continue for the Judge. What he is going through is not for sissies. Also sending prayers for you and your ailing foot. That sounds painful!
