Hi:

I'm on the Brownell's Website looking at item # 969-000-156WB, Wolff's 30/14 spring pak

Is there a better spring pack for shootin' Duelist & Gunfighter?

Thanks

Depends on if you got the locks or not

Yep, the locks are still in the guns

The kits from Longhunter come with 2 springs one for locks and one for no locks. Let me dig around, I think I have a couple of those  kits that I won't use.

Evening P Dawg,

We make and sell a 13# zinc coated hammer spring for rugers. Black powder will not effect the zinc coating and the 13lb will pop all primers. Your welcome to try them off my website and if you don’t like the way they feel then send them back for a refund. Nothing lost but a little shipping on your end if you don’t like them. Cowboys have to stick together and help each other out these days.

I use springs I got from Slick McClade and can vouch for their dependability in my Rugers.

I never have any issues with primer ignitions.   And those springs he mentioned really feel good

in my Vaqueros.

I have 2 Ruger New Vaqueros and use 19 lb springs I got directly from Wolf Springs. Some of you guys were talking about locks or no locks? Can someone explain what this means?

His Jedi and Pistolero status is in jeopardy!!!:P

With internal lock. Small key fits into hole and depending on which way you turn it it either allows or prevents hammer strut movement.

The Wolf web site says Ruger standard is 23 lb. So, I went with 19. Don't want any misfires. They seem to work fine for me. Maybe when I get faster, I'll go lighter.

Thats the old vaquero, the new vaquero's are 17 stock, and they should sell a 3 spring kit that is 14, 15, 16. I use 14 and havent had any misfires, but I also load federals

The SASS new model Vaqueros come with lighter springs than the older non-SASS new model Vaqueros.

I could definately tell the difference when I changed out the factory spring for a 17 lb spring.

I'll second what Widder said. Been using Slick's springs for a few years now with no issues.
