The beautiful 1880's Ballgown - Chocolate brown bead encrusted ballgown with shot taffeta in a burnt orange black. The flowers are all handmade organza and embroidery thread. Underskirt features tea dyed lawn and lace. Bodice has extra steel boning through it. Under skirt ties to ribbons on main part of gown to keep in place. Has matching flower headpiece and a tiara, tiara has some damage to arms but can still be pinned into wig. Gown is made replicating original fashion plate. Of which I can't find the photo at present. Shoes size 9.5 with matching feature. Suit corseted B37", W33", H38" Has been worn for SASS Banquets perhaps 3 times. $275.00 ono And !880's Reception Gown - Olive taffeta and cream satin backed shantung fabric reproduction of a reception gown seen in Texas Civil War Museum. Features cream underpleat, ruched point underskirt. Cream fringed overskirt. Bodice has peek-a-boo Olive ruched sections in the sleeves finished with piping. The cream lace was purchased in Washington, UK and is just divine. Olive taffeta covered buttons, silk shoes dyed in olive with vintage shoe clips also purchased in Durham, UK. Previous black fabric was removed from them and replaced with coordinated fabric in exact manner of original, stones set for those missing for the perfect finish. Shoes have slight watermarks.Suit corseted B 37", W33", H38" $225.00 ono We are just unable to take all this gear back to Australia, and trying cut down on our volumes!
