Trigger Mike
I bought a trailer for my tractor with a wood deck and the dealer I bought it from said it is treated lumber but putting a mixture of oil and diesel will keep it from splitting and preserve it. Pat Riot
I know nothing about this but you piqued my curiosity. I found this: https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/rural-living/280008-diesel-fuel-motor-oil-deck.html https://www.houzz.com/discussions/2533031/diesel-fuel-and-motor-oil-deck-treatment https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/trailers-transportation/323113-best-way-treat-wood-truck.html
Sedalia Dave
Boiled linseed oil applied one a year works exceptionally well. Have been using it on the decks at my house for years. Doesn't smell and once dry (couple of days) doesn't stain items that touch the deck. For new treated wood let it weather a year before applying. sassnetguy50
X2, use it dry a year, then treat it. Any home or garden store should sell commercial deck sealer.
