Texas Lizard Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Power went out this morning about five...Came back on at 820 this evening...Been a little windy around here...I think some trees went over and power lines with them...Now to see how long it stays on...Stayed busy doing other things...And in some ways it was nice not check email or other sights for news...Not knowing is sometimes nicer... Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Well Tex, I don't recall taking a shot at you, but I would probably have misses you if I did. Big wind and no power ain't fun. Seems everytime the squirrel farts, the power goes out around here.
Texas Lizard Posted October 16, 2018 Author Posted October 16, 2018 Just finished reading a news story...A women sitting car getting ready to go to work...A man says good morning turns heading to his and hears tree fall...It fell on her car...She did not make it...Winds come up and some trees do fall...It can happen any time and any where... Texas Lizard This was local to me...
Pat Riot Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I hate the Santa Ana winds... Glad you’re back.

Pulp, SASS#28319 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 The Saloon lost a very dear member several years ago due to wind blowing a tree over while she was walking her dog. RIP Suzee.

Either that, or millions of evergreen trees and power lines make a bad combination.

RIP Suzee. Went down to see that spot one time a few years back. Needs a placard, marker, or monument of some kind.
