Hot Iron Hill
Howdy All, I was wondering if anyone out there shot the Cimarron Pistoleros and how they were? Or should I just wait and save up for some better? Thanks Hot Iron Hill
Sgt. John Campbell, SASS #58165
They are just a standard Uberti SAA, with CCH frames, blued barrel/cylinder, and a polished brass grip frame.
Warden Callaway
Here are Sawmill Mary's Cattleman imported by Stoeger. (I checked the grips last winter.) Lots of local gun shops are Beretta dealers. So you may be able to buy local. No problems with them other then the stupid two-notch safety base pin that you will have to deal with no matter who the distributor is. We've bought three sets of Stoeger branded Uberti Cattleman and they were fine right out of the box. I did open every one up to check for burrs and left over milling chips but found none. No work was needed on any of them although I did change out the springs to Wolfe reduced power springs. Then I've wasted money on "tuned" pistols that required a lot of work to make ready to shoot. Just know if you're getting the new retractable firing pin or old Colt style action.
The Blarney Kid
I have one of the nickled 4 3/4 in. models that I put a polyivory grip on. It shoots pretty much the same as my engraved engraved nickled Frontier model and looks almost as good.
