Charlie Harley, #14153 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 The Bally corporation made a fortune in quarters off pubescent me when they created the Wizard pinball machine. And Roger Daltrey was “the man” in every way. I was at the Rock and Roll HoF last night, and they have a special exhibit of vintage music-themed pinball machines. Miss Margret and I got reacquainted over a few dollars in tokens. And I’m still jealous of Mr. Daltrey.
Pat Riot Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Weird coincidence...Look what I found today. Ann-Margret on a chopper in the 1960's
Charlie Harley, #14153 Posted August 22, 2018 Author Posted August 22, 2018 Sorry about the rotated images. Can’t fix them on an iPhone.
grenadier Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 I wasn’t even born during her popularity height and I still had a flutter in my stomach when I saw her on TV
Chili Ron Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Howdy Pard, I suggest you get online and buy a copy of the VILLIAN. She has a major role, major I say. And she needs help, I like to help don't you? Best CR

The Original Lumpy Gritz Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Saw her and talked to her a couple of times during my WAL/LAX 'ramp-rat' days in the late 1960's. She came across as very nice and caring person. She would always wave at us 'rats' and saw her signing autographs all the time. She was a class act, unlike most of the other AH 'celebrities' we had to deal with. OLG
Noz Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 What was the movie where they used her for a paint brush. Oh, my!!

Chili Ron Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Howdy, That's the Train Robbers. Havent seen it in a while, either. Best CR
Trailrider #896 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 I saw her as 'Sabrina, the Maid" (lead role) in the New Trier High School production of Thorton Wilder's "By the Skin of Our Teeth". She was a senior. I was a lowly freshman (and didn't even go to the same school). I was in love with her from the first time I saw her! And, oh her photo on the cover of Life Magazine! OTOH, if I couldn't have her, there was always "Feathers", Angie Dickenson...
Lawdog Dago Dom Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Did Ann and Elvis really do . . . . .the. . . . . well, you know what I mean. Or just wild backstage rumors?

You can if you edit the pics on the phone, just click edit and even a brighter image or anything you do will make 'em right side up. Dorado told me that and it works!

Alpo Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 The stuff you can learn on the net. I was reading an extract from her autobiography, talking about making Train Robbers, and she mentioned two or three times how kind Duke was to ger parents. Whadaheck's that about? When she was making the movie ger father had just been diagnosed with cancer. It said that when she was six a horse tried to bite her, and she'd been afraid of them ever since. But this was a western, and she'd have to ride. Three weeks of hard lessons before shooting started and she was pretty confident. Then they give her a horse, and it's NOT THE SAME HORSE, "...and all my confidence went away". And then there was when she fell off the platform in Vegas. http://www.ann-margret-from-sweden.com/various/magazines/89sd.html
Sedalia Dave Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 She was also an accomplished motorcycle rider.

Warden Callaway Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 I had to get out Grumpy Old Men and watch it and then Grumpier Old Men with Sophia Loren and Ann Margaret.
J-BAR #18287 Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 I fell in love when I saw her in Bye Bye Birdie:
