Black Angus McPherson
I ran across some .22 ammo today at a decent price - 500 rds @ $20. It's "Armscor" brand. I'm not familiar with Armscor. Has anyone here used it? What do you think? I'm not expecting target ammo but would like it to be reliable and accurate enough to have fun plinking. Alpo
Armscor is made in the Philippines. I've seen it for at least ten years - maybe longer. Never used any, though, so don't know if it's any good.
Trigger Mike
I've used their other calibers and it fired fine, not my favorite. it worked though
Catlow4697
If you are just plinking yes The question is will it functions in your firearms? I tried to use some of the cheapest Federal and Winchester 22 ammo in assorted firearms with mixed results. Buy a brick or a box of 50 to try. The Original Lumpy Gritz
I had fitment issues in tight match grade chambers, on several of my .22's. Stopped using it. This was many years ago. OLG
G W Wade
Picked up some at a new store open house. Shot as good as the other lower price 22's I use for plinking and general use. I would buy more. GW
Hillbilly Drifter
I have a couple bricks of it in 22WMR and it is actually pretty decent
Tennessee Trapper Tom
Tried it. Comparable to other cheap brands. Depends on what you are using it for. Tins cans on a stump great. Competing with a friend on a target. NOT. I have frequent jams with Amscor out of autos. Have had trouble ejecting from two bolt actions that higher quality does not do. Still can’t figure out why
Finagler 6853 Life
It works well in my 10/22 but most everything feeds in those. Works fine in my 22 revolvers. I use it when I want to hear something go bang. For precision, I use CCI but those have been a bit pricey lately.
Edward R S Canby, SASS#59971
I use it when practicing for side matches but use match grade .22s for the actual competition. I've never had a failure to fire with it like some domestic promo ammo sold by big box retailers.
Michigan Slim
Runs fine through our 10-22s. Mark III's not so good.
Black Angus McPherson
Thanks. I'll pick up a carton on my next trip to that store and give them a try. I would have bought some the first time, but I was a bit rushed. Angus
