Winchester '97 Takedown

:ph34r:Recent posts Re: '97's got me to realize I have more than I need, so my first acquisition is up for sale.  Bought this as I entered CAS and saw all the fast folks at that time were '97 shooters.  Little did I realize how much time was needed to get to that level.  The comments about them being fun are true; no one mentioned their tendency to multiply....... I will somehow make do with the 5 which I will have left.....:).

Barrel professionally cut to 21.5" with #4 brass bead installed. Chamber reamed for modern 2.75" shells, forcing cone lengthened.  Bright, shiny bore. Tight, lightly smoothed and functions nicely---NOT worn out with a Dremel....   Work performed by the late Bob Shaw of Walker '47.  Kickeze sorbothane recoil pad, and leather butt cover with 1/4" dense foam insert and sueded shoulder contact patch, LOP is 13"  (At the time I was approaching rotator cuff surgery and wanted it to shoot softly.  It does.)  Minor stock dings  and customary small crack at wrist on left.  SASS smooth and ready.  Feeds 6 from magazine.

Receiver #E6221xx = 1917  Barrel #1885xx = 1903.

$495 shipped to your FFL.  Must accept from private seller.
