Cimarron PPP22LRN Pistolero .22LR Revolver

Recommended Posts

Howdy:

This has probably been covered a million times here, but I could not find it when I searched for it.  I want to purchase a Cimarron PPP22LRN Pistolero .22LR Revolver for my Grandson.  This is a nickel plated .22LR six shooter.   I believe they are made by Pietta.  Looking for opinions based on experience.  They are about 300-400$ - not as much as a RUger which I know is a good little 22 - I have one and like it.

What other reasonable quality .22LR six guns are out there?

Any help or points/links to comments  on the web will be appreciated.

Howdy,

I took a look on gb and searched single action .22

then sorted least ezpensive  first and several rugers were bid

under 200.

Also one fella had uberti  .22 for 249 with four in stock.

I would think that the rougher Ruger single sixes would be fine.

If you found a problem, I bet Ruger would make it all better at reasonable price, maybe free??

The non rugers, not so much....

The days of inexpensive 22s seem to be over.

Best

The two local clubs I shoot at have a .22 Rim Fire Class for those who would like to do something different once in awhile, plus I also have grandsons that I hope to get involved with CAS in a couple of years. I purchased two Heritage Rough Rider .22lr pistols with 4.75" barrels last year on sale for $118 each. Right now they are $121 each on my local gun shop's website. Yes I know they are not in the same class as a Ruger, but I have shot them numerous times at the range, and in about half a dozen CAS matches so far, and they have worked flawlessly for me. Plus they didn't cost me $500 a piece. Just a suggestion to look into if you are looking for something inexpensive for starters.
