"What did he say?"

"He said the sheriff is near!"

Gee, half the folks in SASS could take a different line from that movie as their fave, and there'd be a few still left!

Movie:   SHANE

Alan Ladd as SHANE  (good guy)

Jack Palance as Jack WIlson   (bad guy)

Shane finally holsters up and heads to town to face off with Jack Wilson.

In the bar, after a couple lines have been spoken,  Jack Wilson says:

"What have you heard about me Shane".

Shane.... "I heard you're a Low Down Yankee Liar".

and thats what started the gunfight.

..........Widder

Gee, can you guess from my avatar what my favorite western is?

I've got vision and the rest of the world wears bifocals.

Rules!? In a knife fight?

That's what sustained me in my time of trouble.

I can't swim!

If he'd just pay me what he's spending to make me stop robbing him, I'd stop robbing him. You probably inherited every penny you got!

Who are those guys?

What could they have here that you could possibly want to buy?

We had dinner at the hotel. Etta had roast beef and I had chicken, and if I can remember what you had, I'll die a happy man.

I couldn't do that. Could you do that? Why can they do it? Who are those guys?

How do you know? This might be the garden spot of the whole country. People may travel hundreds of miles just to get to this spot where we're standing now. This might be the Atlantic City, New Jersey of all Bolivia for all you know.

They could surrender to us, but I wouldn't count on that.

I swear, if Sweetface told me that I rode out of town ten minutes ago, I'd believe him.

Morons. I've got morons on my team. Nobody is going to rob us going down the mountain. We have got no money going down the mountain. When we have got the money, on the way back, then you can sweat.

The Specialty of the House and it's still moving!

And the best of all: Think ya used enough dynamite there, Butch?

I'd have to say Lonesome Dove would have to be one of my favorite's.  Kinda surprised it hadn't been mentioned yet.  What a great cast of characters , one of my favorites Robert Duvall, I was to pretty and the whores wouldn't let me alone.  O'l Gus had more one liners.

One of my favorites-from “Harmonica” in Once Upon A Time in the West” with reference to the 3 horses the killers rode  in on :  “ You brought 2 too many.”

I'm thirty years older than you are. I had my back broke once, and my hip twice. And on my worst day I could beat the hell out of you.
