I remember this from Reader's Digest. Life in these United States, probably.

A new immigrant was in a diner and he sat down at the counter, and the waitress came down the line taking breakfast orders. The first guy said Danish (pastry). Second guy said French (toast). Third guy said English (muffin).  Fourth guy says Spanish (omelette). Fifth guy says Polish (sausage). So this guy said Egyptian.

right hook

If he has a glove on his right hand and is a trope pirate he has a prosthetic hook where his left hand used to be.

Left hook

It does all of them better. Simply because you've got it.

When was the last time you went walking around carrying a camera, a pocket calculator, a notepad and pen and some stamped envelopes, a calendar, an alarm clock, a radio and a tape recorder?

I used to carry a notepad and a pen. But I never carried any of the other stuff. But I've always got it with me now, because it's on my phone.

That's what I was saying... it does all of those tasks, just not particularly well. The convenience factor of an all-in-one unit outweighs the fact that dedicated devices do each task better.

Anyway, back to our previously scheduled cartoon thread...
