Dorado Posted June 6, 2018 Share Posted June 6, 2018 That a wild bird came up to me begging for a drink. It saw me drinking out of a water bottle and when I turned around to go back to work, it started pecking at the bottle. I poured some out into a tin lid and it happily drank away. It looked extremely relieved after it had it's fill. It flew off to a nearby tree and watched me for a while. Wish I had gotten a picture. I didn't think of it at the time. Widder, SASS #59054 Posted June 7, 2018 Share Posted June 7, 2018 Last summer, we discovered a nest of wrens in our garage. Of course, we left them alone and made sure that no cat bothered em. Anyhow, on the day the babies started flying from the nest, they would fly in small spurts around the garage from shelf to shelf. I sat down in a lawn chair to watch. It didn't take long for one of the babies to fly over and land on my knee. It sat there for a long couple minutes and I didn't do anything to startle it. Catlow4697 Posted June 7, 2018 Share Posted June 7, 2018 We had a robin hatch three babies from a nest that she had built on an outside light fixture this spring all three babies left the nest yesterday ,they sure give a scare to you when exiting the house .
