Got to meet him several decades ago, when his daughter became the first female commercial pilot for Western Airlines(WAL)that my father was a Director of.

Very humble and nice man. The type of person you would want as a next door neighbor.

Dang... I ordered an autographed picture from him a couple of years ago. I guess I will never see him in person in this life.

I had the honor to me him once at the Douglas County Fair some years back.  He autographed two pictures: one "From Cheyenne to Trailrider" and the other from himself to my real name.  RIP, Cheyenne.  We will miss you. :(  You were one heck of a man!
