Bad Day - May 14

Recommended Posts

My roof was damaged by hail during a nasty thunderstorm and will require full replacement (-$1K deductible). My CTI COSTCO credit card was hacked and has to be reissued. Waiting for matter #3!

Bummer. Those storms were nasty. Our almost new car had $8,000 in damage from hail a few years ago. I’m hoping to get a good steel roofed carport up this summer. Hope #3 passes you by.

Utah Bob - Perhaps it will, as my next door neighbor's 3 month old Silverado got wacked with $6,600 of dents from the storm. It was too high to fit into his garage! His old truck was fine as it was in the garage.  Both of his sons cars were also damaged. Such is life.

Co-worker had is house take a direct lightning strike early this morning. Fried every electrical device that was plugged in. Including the stove and the HVAC system.

Insurance will cover all but the first $1800

Don’t wait for number 3. If it’s going to happen, it will happen.

No one was hurt or lost their life. That is more important.

Let the bank worry about the credit card. You can’t do much about that except deal with the inconvenience.
