i saw that ‘ll’ and didn’t know if it was just a British vs American English thing but 19th century things were different too.

I didn’t do any real research on it, but I’ve been told and have read that the two Ls thing was unique even then.

 

 I named one of my Dalmatian puppies Traveller.  Even before his eyes were opened, he would crawl off down the hall from the rest of the litter, sometimes two rooms away!!  Schoolmarm loved that dog, but he was dumber than a grubbin’ hoe!!
