Charlie T Waite
Fairfax, Va.— National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action executive director, Chris W. Cox, released the following statement on Tuesday regarding President Donald Trump's signature on the National Defense Authorization Act: “The National Rifle Association applauds President Donald Trump for signing the National Defense Authorization Act, which contains a provision that will ease the government’s debt burden and help preserve important vintage military firearms. With President Trump's signature, thousands of surplus 1911 pistols will become available for sale to the American public through the Civilian Marksmanship Program. These firearms are currently sitting in storage awaiting destruction at taxpayer expense. The NRA would like to thank Rep. Mike Rogers and Sen. Luther Strange for spearheading this effort."
