..and those who are Retired.

Recommended Posts

Then, some times we have slow days. Days where ya just can't get up the energy to bustle about , doing things and contributing to the pandemonium that is daily life. so we nap.

You forgot hairy ears. If I didn't trim them I could put braids on each side.

Lawdog:

We call those "Yoda Ears".

Actually, I've been trying to use this schedule now in preparation for when I do retire.

I just can't wait until next Wednesday gets here. :o

It's not that it's new hair growing in the ears, it just got re-routed from the top of my head.

Why are you retiring on wednesday?  I can see going on friday, or the end of the month.  wednesday is neither of those.

I retired on a Wednesday, too, because that was the day that I ran out of vacation hours... :D

Gambler,

     I'm not retired yet.

I've been practicing the schedule for when I do retire.

I was joking that I couldn't wait until Wednesday to take a shower! :o

A friend of mine who worked in Houston in the same industry as myself, bought some property a few miles from me up in the Texas Hill Country. His idea of a good day of retirement is sleeping till noon, piddling around his ranch for a few hours and then saluting the sunset with a shot of tequila.

When my time comes, I plan to do a little more piddling than that and maybe saluting the sunset with an ice tea.

On the days when conflict among duties arises, have a beverage of your choice, recline and examine your eyelids for light leakage.

I'm still in bed at 7:13 am!  I believe in burning daylight.

I have been retired for over five years.  I still get up at 0600 to 0630 hours. my last nine years working, I had to get up at 0415 Hours, so I feel like I am skylarking and burning daylight.
