Springfield Slim SASS #24733
I am in the process of switching out my Uberti '72 Opentop gripframes from Army to Navy style. But one of the hammer springs seems too short and slips out rom under the hammer roller. Are there different lengths? The one that works seems just a bit longer, but the other 4 springs I have are all the same and are too short. Anybody have a longer than usual spring they want to sell? Or is there a different solution?
Lead Monger
I have noticed the springs for Pietta revolvers are longer then the Uberti springs.
Colorado Coffinmaker
Slim, Same same. Seems Pietta Main Springs are just a tad longer than Uberti. Additionally, when I switched my guns over to different grips, I used spring kits from "Lee's Gunsmithing Gunfighter." Reduced power and fit just fine. I have a stash of Pietta springs and if you would like to try them, I can have them inna mail on Monday??
Springfield Slim SASS #24733
CC: I'd appreciate that, I just need the 2. I have a shoot this coming Saturday so I may just take one of my other springs and elongate the hole to get me through one shoot.
