Cheyenne Ranger, 48747L
A lot of times I see guns from around the 1900s give or take that have flaking plating on them (chrome, nickel, ??) first, what is it usually? can it easily be removed completely? Saw one on wire today and it looked interesting except for all the chipping in the plating
Pat Riot
Usually it's Nickel. I do not know about removal.

LawMan Mark, SASS #57095L
I had some very loose nickel bead blasted off a cylinder last year. It came off pretty good.
