Charlie MacNeil, SASS #48580 Posted March 11, 2018 Share Posted March 11, 2018 I shot Classic Cowboy for years, the last 6 or 7 using Old Model Bisleys, until the arthritis in my wrists would no longer tolerate even my lightest loads. For the last year or so I’ve shot .38s two-handed in age based categories, but I well and truly missed shooting CC. At the Classic Cowboy Shootist dinner at Winter Range this year I got into a confab with Cowtown Scout and he reminded me that Starline is making Cowboy 45 Special brass again, so I ordered some. This evening I put 10 of the loads I made up with that brass through one of my Bisleys with each hand, and it felt like comin’ home! I started shooting Classic a few years ago, sure wish I would have started out shoot'n it.. what a fun category. The last two years I have been challenging folks to a Classic Cowboy Showdown.
